Hand Dyeing
As "dyed-in-wool" artists, we call "Dye Date!" and invite our friends. They come to watch and/or participate. Last "dye date", we introduced my daughter-in-law to the art of dyeing. She was a trooper and stayed to the end. She left remarking that it was quite a bit of work. Yes, but the yield is one that we feel makes the woven products that much richer. We treasure both our finely dyed yarns as well as our "oops" yarns. What's an "oops"? An oops is a yarn that can never be reproduced for we got so carried away and forgot to record its ingredients.
