Dry cleaning is expensive and harsh on fibers over time. With care, most handwovens can be hand washed in warm water. Valley Vogue Collections includes washing instructions with each garment. Excellent no-rinse soaps can be found in yarn stores or online. Iron following the temperature guide for your fiber. Some items will press out simply by hanging them in the bathroom while showering (a cheap steaming method). Never throw handwovens or fine washables in the washing machine. The extra time laundering them by hand will pay off in their longevity.
Eucalan and Lavender No Rinse Wool Wash
Use this gentle cleanser and conditioner on our handwovens. It requires no rinsing. Contains eucalyptus or lavender, both natural moth inhibitors. It also contains lanolin - a natural conditioner, reducing static and controlling wrinkles. Trial size free with purchase of a shawl or shrug.
